MENTORING PROGRAMME BUDDY

In August 2014, The TV Collective launched its Peer to Peer Buddy Programme. Supported by Creative Skillset, six mentors and six mentees travelled to the Guardian Edinburgh Television Festival where the pilot of this programme began.

Edinburgh is undoubtedly the seminal event of the TV calendar. It has a

selection of high profiled masterclasses, debates and keynote speakers. This was the ultimate master class for our participants as they not only had an opportunity to meet TV executives from around the world, but also discussed new ideas, the future of TV and broker business deals.

Over the following 3 months mentees were matched with a mentor who faced similar challenges and provided sound advice and inspiration on how to move forward their careers. Each mentee received mentoring contact with an experienced industry figure, combined with a programme of coaching, master classes and networking opportunities.

We are currently looking for participants for our 2015/16 programme. This time our programme will run for six months, with participants receiving mentoring contact with an experienced industry figure, combined with a programme of coaching, master classes and networking opportunities.

This programme has been designed to help in the following areas

  • Encouragement
  • Re-energising your career
  • Strengthen the lessons you’ve already learned
  • Give you wisdom and perspective
  • Accountability
