This role entails…

This opportunity is a paid programme designed to give the successful candidate the knowledge, skills and experience to move from Producer to Executive Producer.  We are keen to develop the next generation of leaders in high end drama.

This programme aims to attract candidates from backgrounds that are currently underrepresented in the industry, including those from a lower socio economic background, those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and disabled people. 

This programme offers the opportunity:

  • To co-executive produce from asap on McDonald and Dodds (Series 3)
  • To be mentored by Damien Timmer
  • To acquire on-the-job continuous development 

You will be credited as a Co-Executive Producer of McDonald and Dodds, series 3

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Substantial experience as a Producer – this can be in documentary, entertainment, advertising or similar.  We welcome applicants who are passionate about a career change into TV drama.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong editorial judgement
  • Proven passion for the shows produced by Mammoth Screen

The Key role criteria is as follows:

  • Demonstrate ability and creativity to oversee the drama from script to screen
  • Ability to bring a wealth of relevant programme ideas that align with Mammoth Screen’s ethos
  • Ability to lead a successful team
  • Ability to produce ‘A list’ talent
  • Able to demonstrate organisational and time management skills with a proven ability to respond to changing demands in a pressured environment.
  • Competence across a range of IT software including MS Office (Work, Powerpoint, Excel), Google Mail and other Google products – or similar
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrable successful leadership skills 
  • Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of high end drama 
  • Ability to demonstrate the creativity to generate new, exciting and relevant ideas that will attract an audience
  • In-depth knowledge of production (including commissioning, scheduling and budgeting)
