Tamara Howe joins Fremantle label as director of commercial and operations

Naked TV has hired former Vice and BBC exec Tamara Howe as director of commercial and operations.

Howe has joined the Fremantle label in the newly created position to shape and deliver its strategic plans and lead business development.

Working closely with managing director Fatima Salaria, Howe will oversee Naked’s day-to-day operations.

Howe is a former managing director of Vice TV EMEA, and before that was chief content officer at Vice Media EMEA. She has also worked as controller of business at BBC comedy and entertainment and controller of productions for BBC Vision.

Howe, who has held non-exec roles for The Prince’s Trust, Edinburgh TV Festival and MEWE 60, will also be tasked with supporting Naked’s talent roster and developing company culture.

“There is an incredible creative energy at Naked with a range of shows like no other,” Howe said.

Salaria said: “Tamara is one of the best and most respected business leaders in the industry. She has a depth of experience across a wide variety of genres and broadcasters and is passionate and dedicated to the production community.”

Howe will be working on established brands like Grand Designs, Escape to the Country and Rap Game UK alongside new titles Snowflake Mountain for Netflix and BBC3/Hulu docuseries Planet Sex (w/t).
