They are currently hiring for a Non-Scripted Content Assistant a perm role and a great opportunity and secure position for an entry-level individual hoping to break into the industry. There is also a commitment to training.

However this is not a traditional production role – it’s assisting the non-scripted team who distribute their non-scripted content and invest in bespoke factual content. It’s more business-driven but still demands creativity and editorial savviness:

This role supports the work of a growing and busy Non-Scripted Content team. Alongside helping maintain producer relationships and ensuring that information is correctly captured, this role provides crucial day-to-day administrative support for the team.  Reporting to the SVP Non Scripted Content, responsibilities will include;

  • Organise the diaries for the Non-Scripted Content team, including but not limited to, arranging meetings and coordinating travel arrangements;
  • Creation of agendas for production company meetings;
  • Attend meetings with production companies or other relevant contacts with the Non-Scripted Content team, taking minutes and taking responsibility for any follow up activity as required;
  • Liaise with key contacts at production companies to source programme information or materials, including, but not limited to TX dates, delivery dates, budget details, treatments, sizzles and other relevant editorial information;
  • Input and maintain programme information in internal databases, ensuring accuracy at all times;
  • Respond to queries from production companies, in a timely fashion, escalating, if required, and ensure key production companies and first look producers receive regular updates/feedback;
  • Liaise with and keep up to date the marketing, sales and operations teams with key programme information, and communicate in a timely and appropriate fashion, including to those in offices outside the UK;
  • Organise and attend the regular Non-Scripted Content presentations to Sales capturing any relevant follow ups and updates;
  • Assist the Non-Scripted Content team with their editorial and commercial decisions by undertaking appropriate research, when requested;
  • Run reports from internal databases ahead of regular meetings;
  • Working alongside the Scripted Content Team, organise the preparation and creation of the annual producer reports. This includes liaising with Sales, running sales reports, formatting feedback, and tracking the status of each report;
  • Support the team in preparation for attendance at markets and key events, providing diary management (including coordination with any producers attending to support pitches), ensuring the team is equipped with any supporting documents as appropriate;
  • Work with the Non-Scripted Content team to build compelling presentations for both internal and external use;
  • Collate and submit business expenses for the wider Content Team; and
  • Generally provide assistance across the department, as required.

The successful candidate must add value to a close-knit team, have an excellent eye for detail and demonstrate the following;

  • Ideally experience of a customer/client facing environment  i.e. retail/hospitality part time role;
  • Appetite to learn;
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to be self-sufficient;
  • Thrive in a fast paced environment;
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and familiarity with PowerPoint advantageous;
  • A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude who is flexible and adaptable;
  • Good time management: ability to work quickly and accurately;
