Moonage Pictures was founded by Will Gould, Matthew Read and Frith Tiplady in 2018. Its aim is to create and produce original, unconventional and inventive television and film, for both the UK and international markets. We work with the very best talent, both established and emerging, and have a passion for storytelling in whatever form it comes. We are currently in production with 2 series for Netflix UK.

Purpose of Role

Working closely with Will, Matthew and Frith, you will be a key part of the production team to plan, budget and oversee production from pre-prep through to delivery. This is a practical and logistical role, perfect for a Line Producer looking to go in-house.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Create budgets, production schedules and finance plans, on a range of scripted drama series filming in the UK and abroad.

Create and initiate ongoing relationships with the high-level crew working in film and series in UK/Europe and work closely with them to make the company’s creative aspirations, working principles and budget goals match.

Liaise with Broadcasters production and finance teams throughout the production process to ensure good working practice, budget management and timely delivery.

Assist in creating and implementing health and safety, insurance, guilds and personnel policies and procedures using best practices in the industry.

Act as a key point of contact to and supporting the production teams and provide hands on assistance to production teams on matters such as contracts, clearances, logistics and making sure it adheres to both Moonage and Broadcasters’ standards.

Supervise production insurance and claims for all programmes.

Negotiate with agents and key crew and suppliers deals.

Work closely with the Head of Production Finance to ensure smooth cashflow for productions, delivering on budget and tax rebates.

Actively work to support a diverse work force behind and in front of camera and oversee training opportunities on all productions.

Ensure all productions’ commitment to sustainable TV production.

Person Specification

At least 3 jobs as a Line Producer on HETV Scripted Drama.

Able to juggle multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

A self-starter who is used to working on their own initiative.

Good communicator and enjoy working as part of a team.

Ideally experience working on international productions (film and TV) shot in UK/Europe through production and post.

This is a 1-year contract initially, with the possibility to go permanent thereafter.

This role is ideally full-time; office and home working with flexibility. However, we are also open to flexible working, job share and max/min working hours arrangements.
