The Royal Television Society Bursary Scheme for students is open for submissions until Friday 15th July 2022. The bursary, which has supported 240 scholars to date, offers £1000 per academic year of study, as well as free RTS membership, industry mentoring and access to events and networking opportunities.

The RTS wants the media industry to reflect the exciting, diverse, and talented voices of Britain today, and that starts by changing the industry from the inside out. We run three pioneering schemes for talented students from lower-income backgrounds studying an undergraduate degree or HND level 5 or 6 – the TV Production and Journalism Bursary, the Digital Innovation Bursary, and the Steve Hewlett Scholarship. NB students must have at least two years of study left to be eligible to apply.

We will consider candidates studying all subjects: including but not limited to TV Production and Journalism; Film and Game Production; Humanities and Social Sciences; and STEM related courses, provided they demonstrate an evident interest in pursuing a career in television, film, or related media industries.

For more information and full eligibility criteria visit RTS website. Students can apply until Friday 15 July 2022.
