Plimsoll Productions is looking for experienced SHOOTING PDs & ASSISTANT PRODUCERs to work on a celebrity-led travel documentary series, travelling around Africa.
Contracts: Imminent start – Mid October 2022 

Ideally based in our Bristol office for pre-production ahead of shooting on location across Africa from early September to mid-October.

Shooting PD

The role will involve researching, shaping, scripting and producing three of the episodes. You will need to have experience of setting up complex foreign shoots, being part of a busy team, producing celebrities, working to tight deadlines and writing briefing notes. The successful candidate needs to be a strong self-shooter, as well as being confident in the edit, with a strong understanding of documentary storytelling.

Assistant Producer

The role will involve researching and casting a broad range of contributors in a number of different African countries, identifying what makes a good story and being able to pitch ideas to the team, as well as sourcing and securing fixers and locations for a busy shoot. The ideal candidate will have experience of setting up complex foreign shoots, an ability to forward plan and troubleshoot, being part of a busy team, working to tight deadlines and writing briefing notes. There may also be an opportunity to shoot 2ndcamera
