Vice Studios reduces its presence in the UK

After longtime creative director Yonni Usiskin left, Vice Studios’ presence in the UK was reduced.

Usiskin discreetly left the firm at the end of the previous year after working on Beat the Internet and The Satanic Verses: 30 Years On for over eight years in a variety of capacities. Vice stated it had no plans to fill his position.

Rosie Taylor, the head of production at Vice Studios UK, will join in the same capacity, Chatterbox Media said last week. She joined Vice in 2018, and continues to work there two days a week, claims the spokesperson.

The UK is “not a priority” for Vice Studios, according to two insiders. Vice Studios is increasingly focused on securing business with high-end US consumers, including the streamers, and has a variety of projects in development. Channel 5’s Jack The Ripper: 5 Victims, which aired last month, was its most recent UK broadcast commission.
