BBC News chief presenter defects to Sky News

Yalda Hakim, one of the BBC News channel’s top presenters who was recently promoted, is leaving the organisation to go for Sky News.

Hakim has only had the highly sought-after position for just four months, having been personally chosen as one of five main presenters for the new BBC News channel.

Hakim will host a new primetime international news broadcast in her new position as Sky News’ chief world news presenter. Later this year, at an unspecified time, she will assume the position.
