Candour, Finestripe and Waddell Media have all been chosen as part of Channel 4’s Business Boost scheme, the trio are joined on the scheme by Afro-Mic Productions (Belfast), Bowled Over Media (Brighton), Clockwork Films (Leeds), Drummer Television (Bristol), Kailash Films (Cardiff) and Zandland (Liverpool), as the broadcaster also announced that it is forging stronger ties with the north-east’s production sector.
The Business Boost scheme, initially intended to select six indies, has expanded to include nine participants. This program, funded by 4Skills and 4Producers, aims to provide training and business assistance to smaller independent production companies in various regions, helping them navigate the challenges within the industry.
