Diversify TV Awards

Mipcom Diversify TV Awards gongs given out.

Three UK shows won awards at the Mipcom Cannes Diversify TV Awards, which champion diversity and inclusion in the TV industry. BBC2’s Inside Our Autistic Minds, produced by BBC Studios, scooped best representation of disability in the non-scripted category.

Canadian drama About Antoine from ComediHa! won in the scripted category. Reu and Harper’s Wonder World (Channel 5) produced by Doc Hearts won best representation of diversity in pre-school programming and Phoenix Rise (BBC iPlayer) produced by BBCS won the older children category.

Spanish drama Nights in Tefia won representation of LGBTQIA+ and Cambodian doc Lotus Sports Club won in the non-scripted category. Canadian drama Little Bird won for representation of race and ethnicity while Australia’s The Swap won in the non-scripted category. CDN chief Deborah Williams picked up the special recognition award.
