Suzy Klein plans more big series exploring lesser-known aspects of the past.
BBC head of Arts chief Suzy Klein has set out her focus on commissioning “major revisionist histories” which show “it is not just about the great men”.
Klein was speaking exclusively to Broadcast ahead of the launch of BBC2 docuseries Shakespeare: Rise of a Genius this week (8 November), marking the 400th birthday of the playwright’s first folio publication.
She revealed that she has plans for more “big and reputational” series that explore lesser-known aspects of the past.
