Ten indies named for ITV diverse-led development pilot Including David Dehaney’s Proper Content & Sohail Shah’s King of Sunshine

Ten production companies led or owned by people of colour, deaf, disabled and/or neurodivergent talent have been paired with commissioners at ITV as part of a development pilot to accelerate relationships with commissioners.  

The pilot, called Amplify: The Companies, see the labels being matched with commissioners across the genres including drama, entertainment, factual, reality and current affairs. 

It is supported via ITV’s Diversity Commissioning Fund which is a ringfenced £80m content budget to be spent over a three-year period from March 2022.
