Meera Syal and C4’s Louisa Compton honoured by WFTV

TV Access Project pair also recognised along with presenter Alison Hammond.

Comedian, actor, author and playwright Meera Syal and Channel 4 head of news and current affairs Louisa Compton were among those acknowledged at the Women in Film and TV (WFTV) Awards this year.  

The awards ceremony, which honours women in on-screen and off-screen roles, also saw recognition for Ally Castle and Tanay Motie from TAP (the TV Access Project).

Held in association with Sky, the ceremony took place on Friday (1 December) and was again hosted by Katherine Ryan.
