Location: The base for this position will predominantly be Kew, London with some work on site at event venues or 3rd party locations such as a Tech Hubs/MCR’s etc and international travel is also likely.
Working Days: This role will require a degree of flexibility and weekend working. You will be expected to work with the team to plan a schedule based on production requirement. Lieu days will be given for any days worked over a five-day week. Whisper offer the option of flexitime hours subject to production requirements.
Start: January 2024 with contract length to be discussed with successful candidate.

The Technical Manager will be a single point of contact for all technical requirements relating to the broadcast of various productions, primarily but not exclusively, sports events. Initiating conversations within and between technical groups and production teams, establishing a clear vision of what’s required technically and delivering technical planning documentation. Acting as a central point of contact for any technical issues that may arise and following up to ensure that issues are fully understood and mitigation in place to ensure no recurrence.
The successful candidate will be involved in individual programmes/projects as well as Whisper’s long-term planning and technical strategy. A strong knowledge of remote production workflows, industry innovations are essential for this role as is relationships with technical providers and manufacturers.
