The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan ends on C4

Expectation and Momo G entertainment format bowing out after four series

Channel 4’s late night entertainment show The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan is to end with the upcoming Christmas episode.

Gilligan announced the news on his Instagram page yesterday (12 December). “After four incredible years, The Christmas episode of The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, which transmits at 10pm on Wednesday 20th December, will be my last,” he wrote.

“I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of this show. It genuinely changed my life and has created an industry-wide impact. It’s won numerous awards and achieved even more nominations, but it’s the army of people behind the scenes that made it happen who are so important. There are so many moments that I’ll always look back on with so much happiness.”

C4 reordered a third and fourth series of the show last year, with the latter ending in June this year.

Produced by Expectation and the comedian’s indie Momo G, The Lateish Show provided a mixture of in-studio celebrity interviews, comedy sketches and live music. Famous faces to grace its couch include David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Martin Freeman and Mo Farah.
