Former STV Studios exec, Amy Maher, moves to Mobeen Azhar’s indie.
Mobeen Azhar’s indie Forest has appointed its first head of development, with the role going to former lead development executive at STV Studios Amy Maher.
Maher has joined the factual indie behind BBC2’s Mumbai: Streets of Gold, which launched yesterday (8 January), having worked as STV for a year in 2022, including on BBC Scotland series, The Firm.
Previously, she was a development executive at RDF Television and Firecracker Films before that, where she worked on Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over and Emma Willis Delivering Babies for UKTV, Mums Make Porn for Channel 4, and E4’s The Sex Clinic.
She has also developed Label1’s BBC1 series Soldier, Barcroft’s The Day The Dinosaurs Died (BBC2/ PBS), and Firecracker’s C4 series, How The Other Kids Live, and earlier in her career worked as an edit producer at Tiger Aspect, an associate producer at Avalon and an assistant producer at Open Mike Production.
